Nusa Penida is an area in the Klungkung Regency of Bali Province which is in the form of islands, so that Klungkung Regency is the only Regency in Bali that has an archipelago. The Nusa Penida Islands themselves are administratively located in one sub-district which is called the Nusa Penida District.The Nusa Penida Archipelago consists of three inhabited islands namely Nusa Penida Island, Lembongan Island and Ceningan Island, with an area of around 210 square kilometers or 2/3 of the area of mainland Klungkung.
Nusa Penida District itself consists of 16 Service Villages and 48 Traditional Villages. The names of the official villages are Batununggul, Batukandik, Batumadeg, Bungamekar, Jungutbatu, Klumpu, Kutampi, Kutampi Kaler, Lembongan, Ped, Pejukutan, Sakti, Sekartaji, Suana, Tanglad, and Toyapakeh Villages.
